An ongoing group of prints produced in response to the uprisings beginning in Greece in 2010 (“Uprisings in Greece”) which ignited mass protests around the world against the crisis of capitalism. The Egyptian Revolution of January 25, 2011 inspired further uprisings across the Middle East (“Arab Spring,” 2011). Further reverberations were expressed in the United States, Israel, Yemen, and back to Greece again (“We are All Egyptians,” 2012). The arc shape of the plates suggests the interconnected and ongoing nature of these struggles. The accordion book “Advance” includes a set of six etchings to create a narrative of the events in Tahrir Square, Egypt in January 2011. Other prints combine text with etchings, woodcut and monotype.
