Suddenly, 2011
Suddenly, 2011 (Oil on canvas with embedded newspaper, 78 x 65 inches)

The absence of central figures, abandoned picnic and fiercely barking dog are painted over newspaper which breaks through the surface to suggest the unanticipated eruption of events that can transform our daily reality. Examining this interaction between the objective world and our subjective reality is the focus of my work.
